Terms of Use
What Snapca does, what it is not, and how the public binding registry is used.
1. What Snapca does
Snapca checks that a Solana token mint address is published on the project domain and records that fact in an open registry. The check is based on two proofs:
- the token creator signature, matching the blockchain data;
- the
/.well-known/snapca.jsonfile or a meta tag on the project homepage (fallback).
The result records a fact at check time, not a guarantee of the site's current state.
2. What Snapca is not
Snapca is not:
- a security audit of the smart contract or project site;
- an assessment of token liquidity, reliability or popularity;
- investment advice or a call to buy or sell a token;
- a guarantee that the project has no fraudulent intent.
Users are solely responsible for their own decisions.
3. Records and payment
A registry record is published after the fee is paid. The fee is paid in SOL or the Snapca token when available. Creating new records and payments are currently closed during the public beta.
- Fees are non-refundable after the record is published.
- Payment is confirmed by a public Solana transaction.
- The record status becomes “paid” after the network confirms the transaction.
4. API and widget use
The public API and widget are provided without authentication. By using them you agree to:
- not distort Snapca's verdict (for example, presenting “not confirmed” as “confirmed”);
- keep the verification source link when displaying data;
- not use the API for bulk scraping, spam or automated attacks.
Snapca may restrict API access if these terms are violated.
5. Liability
Snapca is not liable for:
- losses related to the use of registry information;
- changes to the project site after the check date;
- availability or operation of third-party services (block explorers, RPC nodes).
Registry information is for reference only and is not a legally binding document.
6. Records are not deleted
Snapca does not delete published registry records. A record captures the domain-to-mint binding at check time and stays in the registry indefinitely.
Outdated data is not grounds for deletion — Snapca records the state at check time, not the current state of the site.
7. Changes to these terms
Snapca may update these terms. The current version is available on this page. By continuing to use the service you accept the current version.
These terms are effective from the service launch.
